In 1964, 27-year-old Jean-Pierre Delaruelle bought part of the company Philippe Moser, which specializes in the supply of accessories and tools for luthiers located in Goviller, in the Vosges, about 30 kilometers from Mirecourt. He settled in his native region, the Pays de Bray, on the borders of Picardy and Normandy to build his workshop on the heights of Talmontiers.

For almost 20 years, he continued to manufacture metal parts such as guitar and mandolin tailpieces, mi tighteners, core tips, guitar mechanics, pegs, hook and balance points for harpsichords , Etc.
In the 80’s, always listening to his luthier customers, and on the advice of his friend Antoine Pappalardo, guitar luthier, who is looking for saddles and bows of good quality bovine, Jean-Pierre Launches in the machining of raw materials such as bone, mother-of-pearl, ivory, horn and horsehair.
