Born in Cremona on January 7th 1964, Davide Sora got his degree at the International Violin Making School of Cremona in 1982, under the guidance of masters Primo Pistoni and Giobatta Morassi.
He started his activity by attending the “Workshop-School CEE” for some years, where he had the chance to improve his style and technique experimenting with different approaches to violin making.
In 1986 he opened his own workshop in Cremona, at 22 via Decia, where he is still practising his profession along with his wife Annamaria Menta, also violin maker.
He took part in some violin making exhibitions in Italy and abroad, like the “Contemporary Violin Making Exhibition” on the occasion of Stradivari’s celebration for the 250th anniversary of Antonio Stradivari death.
