Massimo Mura was born in Carbonia (Cagliari) on January 6, 1967, after accumulating several work experience, an encounter with the Master Guerriero Spataffi raises his passion for stringed instruments.

He studies in the school of luteria of Gubbio (Perugia) under the tutelage of the Master Guerriero Spataffi who reveals to him the secrets on the varnish of the old and great Masters luthiers. The Masters Ildebrando Minelli and Gabriele Ballabio continued their training on the construction and restoration of violins, violas and cellos.

Get the title of Master Luthier and Archettaio in 1998, after having built several instruments. Acquire greater knowledge working with different luthiers from all over the world.

Throughout his career he had the opportunity to work with instruments such as cellos and violins Guadagnini , violas Spidlen and violins Cerruti .

In 1999 he lectured on restoration techniques at the Cagliari Classico String Instruments Exhibition.

In 2004 he decided to stay in Spain by opening his workshop of luteria in Madrid.
