ANNA KATHARINA UEBERSCHAER born Luhmann was born in Essen. She made her first contact with violin making at the Waldorf School in Stuttgart. After graduating from high school in Wuppertal, she began her violin training in England, Newark School of Violinmaking.

After successful completion she collects important experiences in different workshops. At Bastian Muthesius Berlin, Thilo Kürten Dusseldorf, Machhold Bremen and Mathias Wohlleber Berlin (arch building).

In 2006, she passed the master craftsmanship test in the violin making and opened her own company in Düsseldorf in the same year. In 2009 she became a member of the Verband der Deutschen Geigenbauer und Bogenmacher. Since 2013, she has been working in her new premises in Flügelstraße.
