The wood is carefully selected and obtained from Transylvania forests, at a great altitude. Transylvania is famous for its abundance of ancestral wood pastries. That means that there’s an ample selection of trees with fantastically high resonance qualities. That aspect is paramount in violin making. As a Romanian luthier I feel lucky to have such wonderful selection of high-quality wood at my disposal.
