The company “Goronok String Instruments” has been enjoying well-deserved popularity in the music world for more than 20 years. Wherever classical music is heard, you can hear the voices of string instruments born in our Goronok firm.
Judge for yourself, here is our musical “little Baedeker”: Belgium, Brazil, Germany, Denmark, Italy, China, Korea, Mexico, Taiwan, Uruguay, Chile, Japan. And, finally, our instruments sounded in Russia and the CIS countries.
The creator of the trademark “Goronok” had a chance to hold both a bow and a chisel in his hands. Mikhail Davydovich Goronok is a professional musician. He became interested in making violins in the late 70s, when he was faced with the inability to purchase an instrument of the right size for his three-year-old son. After a successful attempt to “reshape” a large violin into a smaller one, he decided to learn more: and spent a year in the Public Library, reading all the books that could be found on this topic. Finally, violin lessons by D.V. Yarovoy helped the novice master to reach a completely different level, and in the 80s M.D. Goronok was already a violin maker at the Mariinsky Theater in Leningrad (where he had the opportunity not only to make his own violins, but also to restore old instruments). Also for several years M.D.
