JAN SPIDLEN

Jan Špidlen is the successor of the famous violin-making family with a long tradition. It is first-class manufacturer of stringed instruments. Its customers include leading Czech and foreign artists such as Paul Sporcl, Ivan Married, Leoš Čepický, Jaroslav Svěcený or Gidon Kremer and Kremerata Baltica, and Leonidas Kavakos. John has won numerous prizes at international violin making competitions. The most significant award was first and 2nd place in the Triennale in 2003 in Cremona in the Italian Violin. In recent years, the competition has been participating as a juror.
