Welcome to my violin making studio in Boston.

Here, using only the methods, tools and materials of 16th-century Cremona, Italy, I create accurate replicas of Stradivarius, Amati and Guarneri instruments. I am the only U.S. violin-maker working exclusively with these materials and methods.

In addition, I provide a small group of musicians with maintenance and restoration services.

In describing a 1715 Stradivarius replica I completed in the spring of 2009, eminent violinist Roman Totenberg said, “It looks like a Stradivarius, and sounds like the violin of a great Italian master.” Professionals also value my technical precision, my integrity and unique, personal approach.

With strong connections throughout the classical music world, I am in an ideal position to broker the sale of prized violins. I have become quite active in this role, which demands expertise in appraising the sound, pedigree, and condition of fine string instruments. It also complements and enhances my violin-making work. Most recently, I arranged the sale of a 1671 violin by Antonio Stradivarius.

Whether making violins, or restoring them, I strive to provide unsurpassed quality and service.
