My name is Ivan Stankov.

I was born in 1967 and live in the cosiest Bulgarian town which is located in the Valley of Roses – Kazanlak. This town has traditions in the art of lutherie which date back to the beginning of the twentieth century.

I have been a luthier myself since 1994 and have always aimed preserving and passing the magnificence and magic of this art throughout time. In the spirit of my belief I established my own atelier filled with an atmosphere of art, the scent of resin and the spirit of a luthier’s work.

I make various types and models of violins, violas and cellos while always conforming to my customers’ preferences. I also renovate and repair old instruments.

I am a member of the Regional Luthiers’ Association in Bulgaria. I have also participated in a number of contests and exhibitions of musical instruments both in the country and abroad.
