Repairing & restoring violins, viola & cellos is a challenging job that violinists do. The oldest violins are from the mid-1500s and some of the instruments are still in professional use, thanks to the skilled musicians and violin builders who have been servicing and repairing the Violins for almost 500 years! In order for the instruments to remain in use, it is important that they are handled professionally in accordance with the ethical rules of the industry. Everything a violinist does should also be able to be dismantled later. This means that the Violins are repaired with the right work methods, tools, glues and varnishes. Just as violin builders have done in past centuries.
