Alfredo Clemente, born in Monfalcone, Italy, completed a violin study at the “Conservatorio Benedetto Marcello” in Venice.
In 1984 he came to Germany for a postgraduate degree at the Musikhochschule in the classes of Prof. Saschko Gawriloff and Prof. Igor Ozim. A violin study at the Musikhochschule Mannheim with Prof. Rainer Schmidt followed. As a trainee and a firm assistant he played, among other places, in the orchestras of the Oper Frankfurt, in Mönchengladbach, Cologne and Wuppertal.
Parallel to his musical activity, he has always been interested in arcs and stringed instruments. So he decided to start his apprenticeship as a bow maker with Benoit Rolland in France. He completed his CAP final exam in Mirecourt, France. In 1993, he opened his studio for bows and stringed instruments in Cologne-Ehrenfeld.
