Antoine Lescombe creates violins, violas and cellos in the spirit of Italian masters of the 16th-18th centuries whom he admires and reinterprets, in the service of sound… and musicians!
His dream ? Being a luthier colleague of Amati, Guarneri or Stradivari. Although he was not born in the 17th or 18th century in Italy, but in the 20th century (1980) in Gironde, Antoine Lescombe inscribes his work in this demanding lineage, which also involves active research: visiting museums, studying of original instruments, traces of tool blows, but also a study of the instruments currently used by musicians, and incessant exchanges with artists.
