French Master Bowmaker and MacArthur Fellow 2012, Benoit Rolland dedicates his life to music and to the art of bow making. His studio is in Boston.

Benoit Rolland designs each bow for a specific playing style and sound. He listens to each of his clients individually and to the tone of their instrument, at the Studio, in concert or from recordings, to create personalized bows. His research contributes to the evolution of the classical bow.
