Born on June 6, 1960 in Limburg, Germany. Parents: Ingrid and Berthold Egenolf, Balduinstein, the second half of four brothers and
sisters Christoph Egenolf grew up in a musical parental home, the father was a violinist, a music teacher and a conductor. Christoph Egenolf received violin lessons from the age of 10 with Prof. Klaus Dillmann / Limburg.
After graduating from high school and military service, CE completed his training as a violin-maker at the Staatsl. Fachschule für Geigenbau in Mittenwald, graduated from February 1986.
From March 1986 until August 1990, CE worked at Geigenbaumeister Rudolf Masurat in Lübeck, where he was able to continue his education in the repair, restoration and construction of a new building under the competent supervision of his master. In 1990 CE passed the master’s examination in front of the Hamburg Chamber of Crafts.
