First time I met the Bowmaking in 1997 when, already passionate about Luthery since several years, Master Claudio Righetti introduced us in his workshop in Verona.

Since that day the passion between me and Bowmaking has been increased over the years, still giving birth between us to a relationship of love and mutual respect.

I worked in Righetti’s workshop until 2004 where I learned the rudiments of Bowmaking, dealing with wooden Bows, carbon fibre and maintenance.

I deepened my knowledge attending and comparing myself with many important luthiers and musicians, both Italian and international, always trying to understand how Bows work from a mechanical, acoustic and aesthetic point of view.

I take care of maintenance and restoration, so I have often the opportunity to meet in my workshop and deepen my knowledge of old French Bows, such as those of Tourte, of Peccatte family, of Nicolas Maire, of Eugene Sartory and Victor Fetique. The possibility of working on so interesting Bows is fundamental for me to understand and study the constructive and aesthetic choices of the great Masters of the past. They have always something new to teach me.

I currently work in the workshop that I opened in Verona in 2004 where I build entirely by hand approximately 25 bows each year using the best materials that I can find, applying the typical Italian creativity to the French tradition.
