Wiebke Lüders is a conservator of wooden musical instruments after studying at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna. She has worked as a freelance conservator in Vienna for several years and had a 1 1/2-year-long scholarship at the Conservation Department of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. Since she started to work at the Academy’s fiddle making workshop in January 2016 she has been specialising in the repair, conservation and making of Hardanger fiddles. She is also responsible for the maintenance of the collection of Hardanger fiddles and violins of the Ole Bull Academy.
