The Geigenbauatelier 1930 by Herbert Franke in Halle (Saale) and was founded in 1958 taken over by Joachim Schade. After studying with his father and the successful completion of his master’s examination Jens Peter Schade took over in 1984 the workshop.

Since 2005, the studio is a shame in the center of the beautiful City of Music in the immediate vicinity of St. Thomas Church.
