Since I began my education as a violin maker 30 years ago, I have gathered many different experiences. I trained at the International Violin Making School in Cremona, Italy. For my exam instrument, I was awarded the Stauffer prize. After these four years in Italy, with extensive productions of violins, violas and cellos, I decided to focus on restorations and repairs of old instruments in Germany. After four years as an apprentice with Sören Nordemalm in Bonn, I took my master’s degree in Düsseldorf, with Johann Scholtz. Furthermore, I spent several interesting years in Roland Wiklund’s violin studio in Stockholm. I then worked in my own workshop in Heidelberg, before coming to Bergen in 2004.
