John Stagg Master Bowmaker has been handcrafting bows for stringed instruments for over 25 years.

After completing an Honours Degree in Engineering Science at Durham University, John worked as a Racing Boat builder before joining the prestigious firm of W.E.Hill & Sons in1977. He rose to the position of Senior Bowmaker and left to work for himself in 1983. He has been based in Bristol since 1989.
