Over a decade ago, I set out to discover a career that would combine creativity with craftsmanship. By the grace of God, I embarked on a journey to becoming a violin maker. I received on-the-job training in a violin factory before pursuing for and completing my Degree of Luthier in the prestigious Violin Making School USA (VMSA) in Salt Lake City, the United States of America. After receiving my degree, I continued my training in Seoul, South Korea, where I was an apprentice.
With a solid foundation under my belt, I then focused on mastering baroque and modern bow making, general bow restoration and repair at the Victoria Conservatory of Music. I went on to refine my bow making and varnishing skills at the Violin Craftsmanship Institute in Durham, New Hampshire. With over a decade to master this trade, I have acquired an extensive skills across construction, varnishing, calibrating and repairing violins and cellos.
