NORBERT KIJANKA

Norbert Kijanka art construction and maintenance of stringed instruments studied in the years 1983-1987 in the class of violin making Secondary Music School. M. Karłowicz in Poznan, and in 1992 graduated in this field under the guidance of prof.W.Kamińskiego im.IJPaderewskiego at the Music Academy in Poznan. In 1992 the practice was held in the studio of violin making W & H.Bunnagel in Cologne (Germany).

He GRANT in two editions of the National Violin Making Competition-finalist in 1999. He successfully participated also in the International Competition in Poznan luthier im.H.Wieniawskiego: 1992-VIII place, a medal and a prize juror A.Capeli German Violin Makers Association (VDG) for the youngest Pole finalist; in 2001 the second prize. He received a “Gold Medal” for the highest qualities of sound transmission in the second violin luthier im.V.Metelky International Competition in Nachod (Czech Republic) in 2004.

    I know his violin. Very high quality of the instruments and a very big knowledge about violin- making. I recommend this atelier. In summer I go there for a service with my old italian violin.The prices are competitive- no London or Paris:-)))
