My name is Rolf Waefler and I am an independent violin maker based in the East Midlands of England and a graduate of the Newark School of Violin Making and holder of J&A Beare’s of London Diploma in Violin Making.
My passion is to make high quality stringed instruments entirely hand crafted in the Italian tradition which simply means following the great Italian masters in terms of design and aesthetic principles as well as craftsmanship.
Made with the best tonewoods my instruments exhibit exceptional tonal qualities with bespoke viola making being a speciality of mine.
