My interest in violin making first took hold when I met my wife (a violinist and violist) in college. After a dozen years as a civil engineer and eight years working part time in the family’s violin shop, I entered the Chicago School of Violin Making. There I studied under Rebecca Elliott and Tschu Ho Lee. Currently I’m based in the Chicago area, where I make violins, violas and cellos in my own workshop.
I am a member of the Violin Society of America and the Southern Violin Association. I regularly attend conventions and workshops in order to exchange ideas and experiences with other makers.
