At the age of 10 I took the first violin lessons and played for several years enthusiastically in youth orchestras. As early as 12, I was firmly
committed : “I want to become a violinist.” The visits to the workshops at Loni Patt in Winterthur, Paul Reichlin in Samstagern or Franz von Dijk in Heiligenberg encouraged me in my early career.
From 1981 to 1985 I graduated from the violin building school Brienz with Ulrich Walter Zimmermann. There followed several internships with the violin maker Daniel Heer in Winterthur, with whom I also worked closely later. After the training in the workshop of the Musikhaus Jecklin in Zurich under Fred Pelka I gained further important experiences.
In 2002, I opened my own studio in Oberwinterthur.
