Contrada Musica is a company with ambition. Craftsmanship and personal attention characterize our daily actions. This applies both when building new violins and cellos and in the repair and restoration of existing string.
The name of our company, Contrada Musica, means, freely translated into Italian, “music quarter” or “music around.”
Before Jurriaan van Roon, the current owner, Contrada Musica took over in 1993, it was managed by Joost van der Grinten and his wife about. They were launched in 1972 and brought the company to flourish.
