My instruments are made solely by myself, without the aid of any automated machinery or prefabricated parts. My style of work would be considered clean, though I’d like to think of my work as being more organic than what is typically seen within the clean style. My violins are based on the golden period work of Stradivari, and I prefer to draw inspiration from these masterpieces rather than copy them precisely.
My focus is on making honest, well crafted instruments with a powerful, responsive and open tone. Playability is paramount and I rely heavily on my wife, who is a professional violinist, for making these adjustments.
